Two years ago Swords Lions Club visited St Micheal's house in the Seatown unit of Swords. They  saw at first hand what tremendous work twas being done there what a benefit it is to the community.
Swords Lions asked them what they could do to help and specifically asked  for their wish list.

At the top of the list was transport .  There had been a big problem getting them to doctors appointments , hospital appointments , outings and the transfers to and from the other residences they have in the Swords area.
The Lions took this information back to the the club and they all decided to go for what was the biggest project to date in the Swords and District Lions Club. They organised the usual fund raisers like Golf Classics , Music Festivals , Bucket collections and the like , but what the real bonus was a 10K donation from the District 133 An Post fund  . This was extremely appreciated and cut the time it took to deliver the van dramatically. Swords Lions set about Swords Lions received huge support from local individuals and businesses which are too numerous to mention but they could not have done it without them. A huge thank you to all of them.
