Suicide Prevention

The Lions Clubs in the Republic of Ireland & Northern Ireland have over the past two decades helped local communities in preventing Suicide. It is estimated over this period €200,000 has been invested in Suicide prevention, by Lions Clubs.

3 Key Actions over that period

1. Organising Suicide Prevention course ASIST (Applied Suicide intervention Skills Training). View video below :

2. Organising Suicide Safe Talks. Download the safeTALK leaflet -  ASIST Leaflet Download.

3. Distribution of Lions Clubs pocket cards, with helpline contact details. 400,000 cards distributed over the past 10 years.
We continue to help in those areas.
